Construction of this much photographed joining of indigenous people’s trails to the east and west of the Humber River on the banks of Lake Ontario, was delayed by two design issues – a conflict between the specified arch pipe material and the applicable Bridge Codes, and the depth of water at the time of erection preventing the launching of the arch spans from assembly on the eastern bank. Pearson was engaged by both the fabricator and the erector to prepare claim submissions.
